PPI or Payment Protection Insurance

PPI is a commonly missold product by highstreet banks and lenders in the UK, certain banks have been fined several million pounds for the constant misselling of the controversial product over the last 10 years.

Am I eligible to claim back PPI?

Generally PPI claims can be processed by one of the larger Claims Management Companies in the UK, the average person can claim around £3000, though it is not unheard of for that figure to be above £10k, £20k we have even seen £70k. All it takes to claim is your name, but the more information you can give a CMC the better, if you have a loan number, account number and dates etc then we will almost certainly be able to pursue your claim. But bank are only obliged to hold your records for 6 years, thereafter they may remove your files from there archives and so you will need to have a good knowledge and amount of detail in order for a CMC to pursue your PPI claim if it is older than 6 years.
